Education & Citizen Science

Key Pillars

Education and Citizen Science are key pillars of the OCEAN CITIZEN project. Through hands-on learning experiences and participatory science, we aim to bring marine restoration closer to people of all ages and backgrounds.

We work closely with schools, educators, and local communities to develop and test educational activities that explore marine biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and ecological succession. These actions are closely linked to citizen science initiatives, allowing learners to actively contribute to real scientific knowledge while developing ocean literacy and critical thinking skills.

More materials and activities are coming! Stay connected and get involved!

This space brings together educational resources, monitoring and reporting of the submerged discs from the BiodivOcean project, and practical tools created within the project, especially those designed for use in schools and educational contexts. Our goal is to make these resources openly available to anyone interested in marine restoration, from teachers and students to ocean enthusiasts and professionals.
