Feeling curious about what happens underwater when a new substrate is available for life to grow on? If you want to find out about the colonisation process and ecological succession – in other words, the order and time of arrival of the organisms settling on a new surface – you’re in the right place!
Our team has deployed 3 of these structures in the Marina Amarilla, Tenerife South. Two were installed right beneath the dock (1m deep). The third was strategically placed at 15m deep, in an area often visited by GooDiving’ staff and divers. Thanks to the pictures they send us, you can observe the process of life growing on these materials, at 15m.

Nuestro equipo ha instalado tres de estas estructuras en la Marina Amarilla, en el sur de Tenerife. Dos de ellas se colocaron justo bajo el muelle, a un metro de profundidad. La tercera se situó estratégicamente a 15 metros de profundidad, en una zona frecuentada habitualmente por el equipo y los buceadores de GooDiving. Gracias a las imágenes que nos envían periódicamente, tú también puedes observar cómo la vida va creciendo sobre estos materiales a 15 metros de profundidad.
